ET-3287
This striking textile, likely a traditional Kanchipuram or similar silk saree, features a bold color combination with a dominant vibrant, sunny yellow body. The defining element is the elaborately woven pallu (end piece) and border: the pallu is wide, woven in a shimmering dark gray or black with a repeating pattern of ornate, large medallion or temple motifs in a pale metallic gold/bronze. The main yellow fabric is separated from the pallu by a contrasting, wide horizontal band of deep purple, which is also woven with a traditional baraat or temple scene in gold thread. The borders running along the length are narrow and intricate, featuring a dark gray/black weave with gold accents, while the folded segments on the left showcase the alternative colorways, including deep emerald green, bright fuchsia, and electric lime green.
